LUO, Li is an associate professor at China University of Political Science and Law, Beijing, China. She obtained her LL.B. LL.M. and Ph.D from China University of Political Science and Law in 1993, 1996 and 2001 respectively. In 2003, she earned a doctor juris from Universität zu Köln, magna cum laude

In 1996, LUO Li became a faculty member of the Department of Economic Law, China University of Political Science and Law. She taught corporate law for three years before she pursued her studies in Germany. At the Universität zu Köln, she became very interested in intellectual property law, especially internet related copyright issues. She was awarded a fellowship as a Hauser Global Research Fellow at New York University School of Law for 2004-2005. Prior to her fellowship at NYU, she served as an adjunct professor at College of Staten Island, the City University of New York for one semester.

LUO, Li focuses her research on intellectual property law and corporate law. Her publications include: Verwertungsrechte und Verwertungsschutz im Internet nach neuem Urheberrecht (C.H. Beck, 2004); Remuneration for Private Copying in Germany (in: Comparative Study of Chinese and EU Intellectual Property law, 2005); Legal Solutions to Conflicts between Property and Copyright on Architectural Works (in: Politics and Law, Issue 5 2005); The Term of Copyright (in: Jurisprudence, Issue 11 2005); The Synchronization of Law and Technology in Functioning as a Norm of Behavior (forthcoming: China Social Science, Issue 1 2006); Legal Protection of Technological Measures in China (forthcoming: European Intellectual Property Review, Issue 2 2006).
